لم يُفوِت البرلماني والمنسق الإقليمي لحزب الحركة الشعبية محمد لحبوش الفرصة لتسليط الأضواء عليه بإقتنائه لسيارة فخمة من نوع مرسيدس C220 أخر طراز تفوق قيمتها 90 مليون سنتيم من حساب ميزانية المجلس الإقليمي للخميسات الذي يرأسه، ولدرِّ الرماد في العيون قام رئيس المجلس بوضع لوحة ترقيم جديدة للسيارة بدل الترقيم الخاص بالجماعة تفاديا للإحراج.
وإنتقد العديد من المواطنين هذا التصرف اللامسؤول والذي لا يتماشى مع توصيات ترشيد النفقات ويستنزف خزينة المجلس التي من المفترض أن تصرف على إقتناء سيارات إسعاف تفتقدها أغلب الدواوير التابعة لإقليم الخميسات والتي يتكبد سكانها عناء المواصلات لنقل المرضى لمستشفى الخميسات أو الرباط وقد صبّ ناشطون في مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي جام غضبهم على البرلماني محمد لحبوش بعد تداول صور سيارته الجديدة سائلين إياه عن جدوى شعار محاربة الفساد الذي تبناه في برنامجه الإنتخابي لحزبه.
